JBL ProFlora u504 - CO2 fertilizer system complete set with disposable bottle

The CO2 fertilizer system complete set from JBL, the ProFlora u504, is ideally suited for CO2 supply in aquariums from 20 to 400 liters with disposable bottles. Thereby, everything is included in this set that enables smooth operation and leads to strong and beautiful aquarium plants. The main food of plants is CO2, only if they grow healthy, algae infestations can be reduced to a minimum, because these are deprived of the food basis by the improved growth of the plants. The plants in turn are important oxygen suppliers in the aquarium, which also eliminate germs, remove pollutants and provide hiding places for your well-kept pets.

Plants need light as an energy source for healthy growth, CO2 for photosynthesis, and nutrients and trace elements as growth promoters. With a suitable fertilizer you can supply your aquatic plants with all the necessary nutrients, which they absorb through their leaves and roots. In general, however, CO2 offers even more advantages: above all, most of our cultivated fish originally come from rather acidic habitats and are sensitive to fluctuating water values. CO2 slightly acidifies the aquarium water and at the same time stabilizes the pH value. Above all, the pH value, which is usually too high anyway, is gently corrected downwards to a level compatible with fish and plants, which promotes their well-being and growth.

The JBL ProFlora u504 is ready for immediate use: Screw the pressure reducer onto the CO2 supply bottle and connect the supplied CO2 hose to the diffuser in the aquarium. This dissolves the outflowing CO2 in the aquarium water. An optionally available solenoid valve, which can be connected in between, can be used to interrupt the CO2 supply at night. Thanks to the pressure reducer, professional plant care is possible, as it doses precisely. The effective distribution in the aquarium takes over the ceramic diffuser. A constant control offers the bubble counter with backflow protection and CO2 / pH test.

The storage bottle is TÜV tested and has an overpressure protection. The check valve prevents water from entering the bottle. The range of a CO₂ system depends on various factors. Decisive is the carbonate hardness, the amount and type of plants and the strength of the water surface movement. A 500 g bottle that is not switched off at night by a solenoid valve will last about 4 months with basic adjustment.
