The cute nano sea urchinis an extremely attractive comrade that causes a stir in the marine aquarium. Scientifically called Salmacis sp. it originates from China and India. The spiny comrade is quite easy to keep and can therefore be maintained by beginners.
With its pink color it is a real eye-catcher, which can be kept uncomplicated from 100 liters. The nano sea urchin reaches a size of about 8 cm when fully grown and scores points in the tank mainly through its excellent cleaning work. It likes to feed on algae and growth and keeps the reef clean.
It is important to note that it never has contact with air when being put in or moved, otherwise it can die. It is also better not to expose it to medication. Like most sea urchins, the nano sea urchin decorates itself with pieces of algae and carries coral rubble or pieces of bottom substrate around.
It can be socialized with other invertebrates and peaceful fish.
Upon delivery, the animals are about 2-3 cm in size.
