Rusty mouthbrooder DNZ - Iodotropheus sprengerae
Rusty mouthbrooders grow in the aquarium about 9 cm. We recommend for a species-appropriate keeping of the Iodotropheus sprengerae a filling quantity of at least 350 - 300 liters. The mouthbrooder feels most comfortable with sufficient hiding places (ideally caves) sufficient planting, fine sandy bottom and sufficient swimming space. The female is always slightly smaller than the male, but since the mouthbrooder is a very peaceful aquarium inhabitant, the female with her smaller size has nothing to fear. It can be kept in smaller groups, socialization with fish of the same size is also possible. The water temperature should be between 24 - 27 °, the pH between 7 and 8.5.
