from over 3,000 reviews "The Trochus algae snail is also affectionately called turbo snail and is a real evergreen in the marine aquarium. Scientifically it is called Trochus histrioand originates from Indonesia. Especially in established tanks it lives up to its name and tirelessly cleans the reef and the furnishings.
The Turbo Snail features an interesting cone-shaped shell that has great brown bands on a light shell color. Occasionally it may also have calcium deposits. Occasionally red algae will form on it as well. It can reach up to 8 cm. At present nothing is known about breeding in the aquarium.
It is particularly characterized by its ravenous appetite for cyanobacteria and diatoms, but also feeds on algae and debris, as well as leftovers that accumulate in the aquarium.
Expert Tip: We recommend for fish keeping the NatureHolic 3 Phase Liquid. Care Set offers the best all-round protection for your animals. It ensures optimal conditions for successful breeding and keeping.
