Creeping rush Juncus repens from the USA is a grass-like marsh plant, but it can also grow permanently submerged. It grows only about 10-15 cm tall and looks like a mix of stem plant and rosette plant.
In the aquarium, Juncus repens has proven to be easy to care for and hardy with medium light, softer water and a good supply of CO2.
The creeping rush can be excellently associated with other grass-like plants - this results in highly interesting plant pictures, which have a very own tension.
Juncus repens is also a real eye-catcher as an accent in a stone landscape. The grass-green shoots can turn reddish under intense light.
To propagate, simply separate a daughter plant. These form at the tips of the stalks.
