Porites Mix yellow & green 2 offshoots
The interesting shapes of Porites sp. and their beautiful large dimensions over time make the yellow, yellow-green and green corals a wonderful addition to a reef with SPS corals. This small polyped stony coral shows itself as an interesting inhabitant for a reef aquarium with seawater and is even comparatively easy to propagate. - Garnelio
Description

This mix of SPS corals of the genus Porites in yellow and green shows to be very attractive for your marine reef. The small polyped stony coral, also known as Multi Color stone, forms interesting shapes covered with its tiny yellow and green polyps. The SPS coral is native to the Indo-Pacific, Red Sea, Caribbean and West African coasts.

Porites stone corals are considered not so easy to keep SPS corals, more suitable for advanced marine aquarists.

The Multi Color Stone Coral Porites sp. is reasonably adaptable, reaching up to 40 cm in size depending on the species, and requires a larger marine reef aquarium of 200 liters or more in volume. Medium to strong light allows their colors to shine and promotes good growth of this stone coral. The small polyp stony coral needs medium to strong current and feels comfortable in a place rather mid to top of the reef.

For feeding the small polyped stony coral Porites sp. in the saltwater aquarium fine vegetable and animal plankton is suitable. However, it also does well without food.

The propagation of Porites sp. in the marine aquarium is quite simple. Just cut off a coral branch or a piece of the coral and glue the offshoot with coral glue on a small stone or directly on your reef.

LG Tamara "
