Sulawesi Mineral 7.5

is the easily soluble variant of the Sulawesi Mineral series with a pH-value of approx. 7.5 and is used for the hardening of osmosis water, rainwater, fully desalinated water, etc.. It contains all important minerals and trace elements for health, well-being and colorfulness of the well-known shrimp species from this region and is successfully used by breeders, e.g. of cardinal shrimp (Caridina dennerli). It promotes microbial regeneration in bio-filter substrates. It also reduces the risk from dangerous germs by promoting antagonistic (counteracting) microflora in particular. Increases carbonate hardness and total hardness in the ratio KH/GH = 0.42/1.0

Since it is still difficult to breed the very sensitive shrimps from Lake Towuti (e.g. the harlequin shrimp - Caridina woltereckae or red stripe shrimp - Caridina striata), after 2008 we last made a trip to the lakes in 2011 to investigate the more precise living conditions on site and to have water samples analyzed. The results of the water analyses showed fundamental differences in the water chemistry of the lakes of the Malili system compared to generally known lake water types, so that we had to completely recompose the constellation of minerals here; this resulted in Sulawesi Mineral 8.5.

The less sensitive Sulawesi shrimps such as the cardinal shrimp (Caridina dennerli) can be kept and bred well with Sulawesi Mineral 7.5 and Sulawesi Mineral 8.5. For the very sensitive shrimp species we hope for better results in the long run with Sulawesi Mineral 8.5, which is almost identical to the water chemistry of Lake Towuti.

Directions for use:Stir Sulawesi Mineral 7,5 into water outside the aquarium. It dissolves almost completely in a few seconds, then the water is ready for use. A temperature adjustment to the aquarium water is recommended. Undissolved particles should be added to the aquarium. Close can after each use.

Dosage: Harden osmosis water, rainwater, fully desalinated water, etc. with Sulawesi Mineral 7.5 to approx. 6 °dH and/or a conductivity of approx. 270 +/- 40 µS (microsiemens), which corresponds to one slightly heaped measuring spoon (approx. 3.5 g) per 15 liters of water.
