SEACHEM - Marine Buffer

With the MarineBuffer from Seachem you can safely and reliably increase and stabilize the pH value of your saltwater aquarium to 8.3. Even in case of accidental overdosing, this value remains constant, so that you can also use the product in the reef tank without hesitation. Other elements provide stability and prevent dangerous fluctuations in your water values.

Marine Buffer is a mixed supplement and not just pure sodium bicarbonate or sodium carbonate, which can dangerously raise pH levels if used improperly. The supplement contains sodium, magnesium, calcium, strontium and potassium salts from carbonate, bicarbonate, chloride, sulfate and borate.  These components stabilize and buffer the pH exactly to 8.3.

Application: Use 5 g per 80 liters of water and dissolve it in fresh water beforehand. This increases the alkalinity by about 1 meq / l. Use MarineBuffer daily until the pH stabilizes at 8.3. This process can take between 1 and 7 days. Apply MarineBuffer every two weeks or once a month thereafter to maintain pH.
