SEACHEM - Reef Strontium

Strontium is essential for the growth of many marine organisms. With the ReefStrontium from Seachem you can reliably and safely replenish it and thus support your pets. The highly concentrated strontium gluconate is bioavailable and contains neither nitrogen nor phosphorus, which lead to undesirable algae growth.

In a concentration of 8-10 mg/l strontium occurs in natural seawater. It is chemically similar to calcium and many organism even incorporate it together with calcium into their skeletons. Thus, with ReefStrontium, you support the growth of corals, coralline algae, and other organisms that form a calcareous skeleton or shell, including tridacnia mussels.

ReefStrontium is present as a gluconate complexation that makes strontium more bioavailable and maintains maximum coral growth. In the process, carbonate precipitation is prevented. For best results, check water strontium levels regularly and adjust dosage as needed.

Directions: Use 1 dosing cap per 80 liters of water twice a week to start.  Measure the strontium level regularly and use the product until a strontium level of 8-12 mg/l is present. Every 5 ml to 80 liters of water will increase the strontium level by 0.6 mg/l.  ReefStrontium is also suitable for dosing systems.
