Turban snail - Turbo setosus
The karstic-looking turban snail is a great aquarium dweller that also helps keep the reef sparkling clean. Whether it's algae, detrius or biofilms, the turban snail is tirelessly at work. It is one of the few marine inhabitants that can even be bred if it feels comfortable. - Garnelio
Description

The turban snail nano is often also called dwarf turban snail and is a welcome guest in the marine tank. Also called Turbo bruneus , this marine snail is uncomplicated and easy to care for and is often one of the first aquarium inhabitants. It belongs to the shell snails and impresses with its karstic appearance.

With a size of about 3-5 cm, the turban snail remains relatively small and yet has an extremely sturdy shell. This has spiral coils of tiny scales. In case of danger it can close its lid, the so-called operculum, which has small elevations and a bright edge. There are small spots on their body.

A group of turban snails can be maintained without problems already from 112 liters. They also get along well with other invertebrates, as long as they are not outright snail eaters. The omnivorous turban snails feed mainly on growth and biofilms, as well as algae, which keeps the reef clean. Breeding these pretty animals in the aquarium is quite possible and has also been successful several times.

Expert Tip: We recommend for fish keeping the NatureHolic 3 Phase Liquid. The care set offers the best all-round protection for your animals. It ensures optimal conditions for successful breeding and keeping.
