from over 3,000 reviews "The especially nicely shaped, large polyped daisy coral from the genus Alveopora grows slowly and is particularly striking due to its large flower-shaped polyps - a great eye-catcher for your coral reef in the saltwater aquarium! Here in the store you buy a colorful mixture of different coral species from the genus Alveopora. This beautiful, particularly apart formed and really decorative genus of the daisy corals comes from the Indopacific.
Alveopora sp. are beautifully colored and flower-shaped large polyp corals. Marguerite corals are comparatively demanding to keep and are therefore better suited for advanced marine aquarists, but are not as difficult to keep as Goniopora, but are similarly decorative.
Marguerite coral needs supplementary feeding of plant and animal plankton, nutrients in the water and light. Only then the Alveo develops beautiful intense colors, grows properly and reaches a higher age. Therefore you should always feed Alveos in the reef aquarium.
Alveopora sp. needs a seawater reef aquarium with a volume of at least 200 liters. Alveopora sp. needs a medium current and medium light. Alveos fit well in the lower to medium area in the reef.
The large polyp LPS stony coral Alveopora sp. can be propagated relatively easily by division. The fleshy parts must not be damaged! The separated coral fragment you fix with coral glue on a smaller stone or glue it directly on a suitable place on your reef.
