from over 3,000 reviews "As a perching plant, Anubias barteri var. nana, the dwarf spear leaf, has long been known and popular in aquaristics. In addition, it is very undemanding and is perfect for beginners. Especially the small and dark green leaves make it an eye-catcher especially in the foreground or middle ground of the aquarium. If possible, the Anubias barteri var. nana is tied up on stones or roots and not planted in the substrate, because the rhizome can begin to rot, whereby the pretty plant eventually dies. This makes it ideal for permanently damp terrariums, paludariums or aquaterrariums.
If Anubias barteri nana is constantly kept under water, it will produce white flowers from time to time. Unlike other aquatic plants, it copes well with rather low lighting, so it can even be placed in a rather shady spot. Thanks to its hard and rather bitter tasting leaves, the pretty Anubias is also suitable for perch aquariums, as they tend not to be nibbled. By dividing the rhizome with at least two leaves, Anubias barteri nana can be divided and propagated.
Note:
We recommend watering the plant before adding it to the aquarium.
Our recommendation: For a splendid plant growth we recommend the use of the NatureHolic fertilizer series and for new plants the Premium Nutrient Substrate NatureHolic GroundBooster.
Expert Tip: With the NatureHolic plant glue glue this plant gently and easily on stones, roots and decoration . Made in Germany, the adhesive does not pollute the water and has no negative impact on the stock.
