Carrying Blue Bee Shrimp - Paracaridina sp. Blue Bee
Small but OHO - the Blue Bee with its pretty stripe pattern on a blue-brown to black-brown ground and its often striking red eggs is a really beautiful animal. In the aquarium, especially smaller groups live rather hidden at first, but when the shrimp feel safe, they can be observed in large numbers even during the day. The females do not carry many eggs, but quite regularly, and the young also come up well under suitable conditions. However, the filter should be made absolutely safe for young shrimp, the babies of the Blue Bee shrimp are really very small. - Garnelio

Description

The females of the pretty little Blue Bee shrimp (Paracaridina sp.) carry their 15 to 25 red to reddish brown eggs under their abdomens between three and a half and four and a half weeks. After completion of this gestation period, very small but already fully developed shrimp hatch. By purchasing an already pregnant female, you can very quickly assemble a larger group of shrimp that has a wider genetic variety. Another advantage is that the juveniles are already used to the conditions in the aquarium when they hatch, so they don't have to go through a big adjustment. Blue Bee shrimp are group animals, you should never keep a pregnant female alone because they are relatively sensitive and can reject their eggs if they feel too stressed. 10 to 15 Blue Bees are a suitable starting stock.

Natureholic baby food is an optimal rearing food especially for the tiny young animals.
A detailed description about keeping and breeding can be found at our main description of the "Blue Bee Shrimp".

Our food recommendation: The soft Mainfeed Softpads from NatureHolic are designed for daily feeding. They contain all the nutrients shrimp need for shell development, egg formation and growth. During the production we pay attention to a gentle and environmentally friendly production, in which the vitamins and other valuable ingredients are preserved as much as possible.

Our plant recommendation: Use for planting NatureHolic InVitros. These are free of snails, planaria and other unwanted co-inhabitants. Also free of algae spores, bacteria and fungi.

Expert Tip: We recommend for fish keeping the NatureHolic 3 Phase Liquid. The care set offers the best all-round protection for your animals. It ensures optimal conditions for successful breeding and keeping.
