from over 3,000 reviews "Pocillopora sp. "Bicolor", thebicolor bush coral, shows a great fuzzy shape and shines wonderfully in two colors. The SPS coral originally comes from the Indo-Pacific. The bicolor bush coral belongs to the small polyp stony corals.
Pocillopora stony corals are considered to be quite robust SPS corals, which are also very suitable for beginners in coral keeping in marine reef aquariums. Pocillopora sp. "Bicolor" branches nicely as it grows. Bicolor bush coral coloration depends on light intensity and nutrient availability. Therefore, their colors and color intensity may well vary.
The bicolor bush coral Pocillopora sp. "Bicolor" is quite adaptable and fits perfectly into a saltwater reef aquarium with a capacity of 200 liters or more. Under medium to strong light it shows its most beautiful colors and good growth. With less light Pocillopora sp. "Bicolor" can also be kept successfully, but then it is not as colorful. The coral needs strong current and feels well in a place rather in the middle of the reef. Also a place further up is suitable of course.
If you want to feed this stony coral in your saltwater aquarium, you should use fine vegetable and animal plankton. Propagation of Pocillopora sp. "Bicolor" in the aquarium is quite easy. Separate a coral branch and fix it with coral glue on a stone or directly on your reef. The bicolor bush coral will soon grow in the new place.
