from over 3,000 reviews "Seriatopora sp. bicolor, the Bicolor Christ's Thorn Coral or Bicolor Spiny Bush Coral fascinates with beautiful fine structures and its bicolor. The core of the coral stem is rather purple to pink colored, while the outer ends are turquoise to green. This wonderful SPS stony coral originates from the Indo-Pacific. In the aquarium, it needs preferably medium to strong light and water current for intense colors. Blue light components support the spiny bush stony coral in the formation of its color pigments.
These SPS corals are characterized by a relatively good robustness in the marine aquarium and are therefore also well suited for beginners in coral keeping. The particularly beautiful and fine structure of the stony coral for marine aquarium is fascinating. The bicolor Christusdorn coral colors intensively under good light and with the right water values.
Like all Christ's Thorn corals, Seriatopora bicolor grows quite fast if the conditions are right. You should divide the stony coral accordingly before it gets too big. Otherwise the coral cane may die from the inside - if the cane is too big, not enough light and current will reach the inside. You can support large Christusdorn corals with the use of a wavebox in the marine aquarium.
Cut off pieces of the Bicolor Christusdorn Coral can be attached to a suitable spot on the marine reef with coral glue, making this spiny bush coral super easy to propagate.
The spiny bush coral Seriatopora sp. bicolor fits well in saltwater aquariums from 150 liters. This SPS coral likes to have medium to strong lighting and a good current in the aquarium. Seriatopora sp. bicolor should rather find its place in the upper part of the reef.
Feed a Seriatopora bicolor Christusdorn coral with fine plant and animal plankton if needed.
