ADA - Rear wall foil Normal 150-P

The ADA Aqua Screen Normal 150-P background film for aqu ariums is opaque and thus conceals everything behind the aquarium - from wallpaper patterns to cables and hoses to aquarium technology. The single-color background foil is available in black or dark blue. The background foil fits on the back wall of all rectangular aquariums up to 150 cm long and up to 65 cm high.

The unobtrusive single-color Aqua Screen Normal P-150 background film from Aqua Design Amano provides a calm background especially for aquascapes or aquariums, which does not distract from the layout in the aquascape and yet adds an important detail. Especially with green or red aquarium plants, an opaque dark background looks perfect.

The ADA Aqua Screen Normal 150-P background film is self-adhesive and suitable for dry bonding as well as wet bonding. When the aquarium is set up, applying the background film is the very first step, because you can't really get to it later.

First, place the aquarium face down on as soft a surface as possible so that there are no scratches or stresses in the glass. The back wall is now thoroughly cleaned with glass cleaner - especially fingerprints or dust grains can be seen later from the front, and they can be extremely disturbing. Attention: If the film sticks together, the traces can no longer be removed, they would also be more than clearly visible from the front. By the way, it is better to cut the film only after it has been glued.

When the backing film is applied, you have to make sure that it lies bubble-free, because the bubbles will be seen as unsightly stains from the front. There are different proceduresfor this.

In the method of dry application, you make a small corner of the film free and put it on one of the corners of the back wall. Then, piece by piece, slowly peel off the backing paper while spreading the backsheet film on the glass with a soft cloth. The film must lie bubble-free and, above all, seamlessly on the glass. This requires a lot of skill, especially with the large films!

It is much easier and uncomplicated to install the ADA Aqua Screen Normal 150-P background film without bubbles by applying it wet. For wet bonding, the backing paper is also slowly removed from the film and the adhesive side is thoroughly sprayed with a mixture of detergent and water from a spray bottle.

The wetted backsheet is then also placed in one of the backsheet corners of the aquarium and painted on. If bubbles form, you can brush them out directly with the edge of a plastic card toward the edge. For large back walls, this method is definitely our method of choice!

A wet-applied film needs to dry for a day, and then it can easily be cut along the edges of the aquarium.

If the aquarium is somewhat higher than the width of the Aqua Screen Normal 150-P backsheet, always start applying the film in one of the upper corners of the aquarium backsheet. A small edge remains unfoiled at the bottom, but this will no longer be visible in the aquarium when it is set up, due to the substrate and plants
