The great river mix Plantahunter gravel "River" in size L from Dennerle is great for a lifelike aquarium layout. Especially in combination with other gravel types or hardscape, as we carry them in the store, cool eye-catchers can be conjured up. The different shades of gray ensure a harmonious appearance. Especially the predominantly flat shapes of the plate gravel encourage various fish to spawn, as they often lay their eggs between flat pebbles. Above all, the large surface area of these pebbles provides a great opportunity for useful microorganisms to settle, which has a positive effect on the water values.

The slightly calcareous but 100% pure natural gravel is especially suitable for perch originating from the rocky littoral of Lake Victoria, Lake Tanganyika or Lake Malawi, but of course also for other animals that prefer rather harder aquarium water. With other sizes of the plate gravel we offer in the store, you can also create great effects! It also makes for a great layout in combination with perch-resistant plants such as Anubia or Bucephalandra.

A nutrient substrate can of course be placed under the plate gravel as a long-term fertilizer . However, you should take care that digging fish do not dig it out. Support your plants from the beginning with an optimal nutrient supply, so they grow better and stronger and thus make a valuable contribution to the water quality. Strong plant growth can also curb the formation of algae, which is particularly beneficial during the initial start-up phase.

Recommendation:
Before first use, the gravel should be washed out several times with cold water to remove abrasion caused by transport. By the way, you can find more colors in our store!
