from over 3,000 reviews "The GRNLO Blockshelter made of white ceramics offers a very modern, cool look and the shape is based on the popular bricks. As a shrimp cave, catfish cave or crab cave, the Blockshelter is perfect in the aquarium.
With 10 cm width, 8.7 cm depth and 8 cm height, the Blockshelter is optimal for dwarf crayfish or young crayfish offspring. The six caves are one above the other and have a width of 2 cm. Also suitable for small catfish, dwarf shrimp and small large arm shrimp. Because the caves are open on two sides, crayfish or large-armed shrimp can quickly escape if they get a visit from not-so-friendly conspecifics.
The edges of the hiding place are slightly rounded to minimize the risk of injury to your aquarium inhabitants. The surface of the ceramic block shelter is finely porous and thus allows the important pollutant-degrading filter bacteria in the aquarium to settle. They clean the water in your aquarium from pollutants and can thus greatly improve the water quality. In addition, the biofilms formed by these bacteria are readily grazed by catfish, shrimp, aquarium snails and small crayfish, providing them with a natural source of protein.
The uncluttered look of the white Blockshelter cave unit for the aquarium can be broken up and made even more interesting by planting it with mosses or perching plants such as anubias, bucephalandra, java fern or pinnate water lilac (Hygrophila pinnatifida). Ideal for attaching the plants is a good cyanoacrylate-based plant glue - or you can work with classic twine.
