Botanically known as Lawsonia inermis, the henna shrub has been used in natural medicine since the Middle Ages. Although the exact origin is no longer traceable, nowadays it is found mainly in warm climates as well as in parts of Africa and Asia. With its size of 60-80 cm it is also suitable for larger aquariums.
The 100% natural henna branch releases humic substances and tannic acids into the water, which have a positive effect on the water values and also the mucous membranes and gills of your pets. The increased surface area also provides a great place for beneficial microorganisms to colonize, reducing pollutants. Especially shrimps love to nibble down this biofilm. This is a great way to get a good look at them.
Last but not least, the Henna Branch is also suitable for rasping catfish that need wood for their digestion.
