1x birch bark pad for grazing

Birch bark pad is a great natural product, which is collected by hand and gently dried. Thereby all pads differ from each other. The pads serve in the aquarium as a grazing surface for invertebrates, because a biofilm forms on it, which is gladly nibbled off by shrimps. But also loricariid catfish will not be able to resist it and take them with relish. In addition, they are gladly accepted as a hiding place but also as a playground - the colorful shrimps look splendid on the natural bark! The natural white and black-brown colors create a great and very natural touch in the aquarium.

But birch bark can do even more! The bark also contains humic substances, flavonoids and saponins, which have a weak antibiotic and anti-inflammatory effect in aquarium water, thus benefiting all animals and also protecting the microfauna all around.

Initially, the birch bark pads still float up, but once they have soaked up water, they sink by themselves after a while, but can also be weighted down under water with decorations, for example.
