Cryptocoryne wendtii Green - NatureHolic InVitro

Cryptocoryne wendtii " Green", the Green Wendt's water lily - has pure green leaves, also the shoots are unlike other variants of Cryptocoryne wendtii not brownish. It grows only about 5-10 cm high and thus fits perfectly in the foreground, for example to break up lawn plantings or ground-covering planting with Cuba dwarf pearlwort. This water carnation also does very well in the middle ground of nano aquariums.

Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green" is characterized by slow growth and by being very uncomplicated. It can also grow in the shade of roots and deco as well as serve as foot planting of higher aquatic plants without reacting negatively. It is happy with the CO2 naturally present in the water, this water lily does not need additional CO2 fertilization.

Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green" will form daughter plants on the rootstock over time. They can be cut off with sharp scissors and replanted, making the plant easy to propagate.

Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green" can also be maintained above water, provided the plant is in high humidity and has rather moist substrate. It is ideal for humid terrariums, paludariums and aquaterrariums to add greenery to the terrestrial part.

Like any InVitro grown aquarium plant, Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green" is not harmful to shrimp as no pesticides are used in its cultivation. It is free of algae and snails, and quarantine is not necessary. Before you put the Cryptocoryne in your aquarium, you should only rinse the nutrient substrate from the roots.
