There is always a debate as to whether it is permissible to introduce fish one day after setting up a new aquarium. Microbiologists found out that bacteria in a new aquarium multiply very slowly if there is no water pollution (food for the bacteria). However, if fish are introduced the next day without a bacteria starter, ammonium/ammonium problems will occur because bacteria multiply too slowly at first and cannot keep up with the increase in pollutants.

When using JBL Denitrol (1 hour after adding JBL Biotopol), high amounts of bacteria are added. When the first fish are then introduced the next day, these bacteria also receive nourishment and begin to multiply. In addition, JBL Denitrol is added for the first 10 days, thus ensuring that sufficient bacteria are always present and that neither ammonium/ammonia nor nitrite become a problem.
