Keep in mind that Neocaridina can interbreed and new colors can be created. If you pass on offspring, you should point this out.
The Swedish shrimp mix is also suitable for beginners, as they tolerate a wide range of water values and are quite robust. Neocaridina are peaceful shrimps that feel most comfortable in a group. As an initial stocking we recommend 12 animals per 20 liters, but as a rule of thumb you can also practically calculate 1 shrimp per 1 liter of water.
If they feel comfortable, your Swedish shrimp mix will reproduce regularly and diligently. They may interbreed and produce green, greenish or even wild colored young. If you want to keep the yellow and blue color, you should therefore better select your animals, if you give away animals, you should point this out.
You can also socialize your shrimp mix with snails, mussels, peaceful fish and crayfish. Corydoras or loricariids are also suitable.
Offer your shrimps a well-balanced staple food, for example our Mainfeed. You can also spoil them with pumpkin chips or nettles. Brown autumn leaves, alder cones or sea almond leaves are very suitable because of their humic substances and should not be missing.
