Microcell - Artemia food - 240 ml

To successfully raise live food, microcell is a real insider tip. Live food is often the feed of choice for successful fish farming, but some wild fish also often prove to be difficult eaters that require a bit of intuition, especially when it comes to feed selection. Especially self-produced live feed offers the great advantage of being fed fresh and thus offering a maximum of quality and freshness, as it is not exposed to the usual route with interruption of the cold chain. Thus, the high content of macronutrients such as proteins and fat is guaranteed, which helps your favorites to healthy growth, a strong color expression and last but not least an increase in spawning readiness.

The powdered rearing food Mikrozell has the very finest phytoplankton and is ideal for rearing Artemia nauplii, but tiny fry also benefit from the micronized powder. To raise the nauplii well, rearing tanks with a height of about 40 centimeters are suitable. The water is kept in motion by means of an air vent, so that fine food algae are kept in suspension, as even the smallest particles sink to the bottom due to their own weight and can no longer be eaten from there. Room temperature is suitable for breeding, at temperatures below 20 °C the growth slows down slightly. They do not pose any special challenges to lighting, daylight is already suitable.

24-48 hours after the hatching of the nauplii you can start feeding them with Liquizell, which we also carry in our store. This contains such fine phytoplankton that it can be eaten by the nauplii despite their very tiny mouths. After about 8-10 more days they can be switched to microcell. Here, however, it is also important not to feed the small brine shrimp again until there are no more visible green food particles in the water.

By the way: The microcell is also suitable as food for invertebrates in freshwater, as well as for corals!
