Pine root aquarium decoration

Not only can wood be used to decorate aquariums as eye-catchers, but roots also serve as hiding places and retreats. In most of the habitats of the aquarium fish we keep, the underwater infrastructure also consists largely of wood. The porous surface of pine roots is also home to beneficial microorganisms, which also have a positive effect on water quality and are nibbled off with abandon by invertebrates. Some wood-eating catfish also need the cellulose for their digestion.

Our pine root has been carefully collected and selected by hand and can be used in the aquarium without hesitation. It can be pre-watered in a bucket of water before being placed in the aquarium.

Under water, the pine root gradually releases humic acids, which have a beneficial effect on the aquarium inhabitants and also contribute to their well-being. The pine root can also be planted with small mosses and perennials.
