ADA - Aqua Screen Foggy

ADA Aqua Screen Foggy self-adhesive frosted glass film for aquarium is applied to the outside of the aquarium glass. The semi-transparent, whitish milky background film looks like a beautiful haze in the background or like fog.

The background foil ADA Aqua Screen Foggy comes in different dimensions for all rectangular aquariums up to a length of 180 cm.

A frosted glass film behind the aquarium gives the aquascape or planted aquarium an almost ethereal appearance. Elegant, restrained and simply beautiful - the ADA Aqua Screen Foggy background film looks very natural and harmonious and ideally sets green and red aquarium plants as well as the colorful aquarium inhabitants in scene.

The semi-opaque background film for aquarium from Aqua Design Amano also disguises the aquarium technology behind the tank. Even thick, dark hoses are only dimly visible, transparent hoses or thin cables become blurred and practically invisible.

The ADA Aqua Screen Foggy self-adhesive backscreen film is applied to the aquarium backscreen as a first step, even before the aquarium is finally placed in its place. Less time is the method of dry bonding, more successful is the slightly more laborious wet bonding.

It is important that the ADA Aqua Screen Foggy backsheet is applied absolutely free of b ubbles, because even under the semi-transparent foggy backsheet, the bubbles would be perceived as ugly spots when seen from the front.  The frosted glass rear wall film is only cut to size when it has been completely glued.

To adhere the ADA Aqua Screen Foggy backscreen film to the outside of the aquarium backscreen, carefully place the aquarium face down on a soft surface to avoid scratches or even cracks. Then, clean the outside of the aquarium back wall very thoroughly with glass cleaner and a clean, dust-free cloth. Every speck of dust and every fingerprint would be seen from the front under the foggy frosted glass film. Attention: If the frosted glass film is sticking together, it is very difficult to get rid of these traces, so you have to be careful here.

With the dry bonding method, the film is freed from the backing paper at one corner and placed in an aquarium corner and rubbed down. Then, piece by piece, remove the backing paper from the adhesive layer and carefully rub the backing film onto the glass with a little pressure using a soft cloth. Be careful not to create any bubbles.

A little more time-consuming, but at the same time much easier is the bonding of the ADA Aqua Screen Foggy backsheet using the wet bonding method. To do this, lay the film flat and gradually peel off the backing paper. The adhesive side of the ADA Aqua Screen Foggy frosted glass film is simultaneously moistened generously with a mixture of detergent and water from a spray bottle. The dripping wet backscreen film is placed in one of the corners of the aquarium backscreen and then slowly and carefully brushed on. Bubbles are smoothed out with the edge of a credit card towards the edge. The ADA Aqua Screen Foggy backsheet film must first be allowed to dry for one daybefore being cut to size.

If the aquarium is higher than the film, start gluing in an upper corner of the back wall. A small edge remains free at the lower edge, which will later be covered by the substrate.
