from over 3,000 reviews "The bark of the Lapacho tree (Tabebuia avell) from South America is a traditionally used remedy in folk medicine. Lapacho bark has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties and can also be used very well in the aquarium as a preventive or supportive measure for bacterial diseases. A nice alternative to cinnamon sticks and sea almond bark! The beautiful reddish-brown Lapacho bark strips are a real ornament in the aquarium and have besides their undisputed positive effect also a high ornamental value. Garnelio Lapacho bark is a pure natural product without artificial additives.
Dose 1 teaspoon of the cut Lapacho bark per 20 l aquarium content. At the beginning the bark will float on the water surface, but with time it will sink. The bark pieces will retain their beneficial effects for about two weeks, after which you should add more if necessary. You can remove the old pieces from the aquarium or simply leave them as a decorative element. Shrimps and small crayfish like to use them as hiding places.
