With the NatureHolic CO2 generator for plant aquariums and aquascapes you ensure a permanent supply of your aquarium plants with the important nutrient CO2. The CO2 generator with 1 liter capacity is perfect for supplying nano aquariums and small aquariums up to 60 liters volume with carbon dioxide, the generator with 2 liter capacity is well suited for aquariums and aquascapes from 60 to 150 liters.

The CO2 generator bottle made of stainless steel for the supply of an aquarium with CO2 works with citric acid, which is decomposed in the pressure bottle by a controlled chemical reaction to CO2. We recommend the use of our CO2 Refill Packs for the generator - here the necessary components are already available in high quality and in the correct, safe ratio and you do not have to laboriously mix yourself.

Unlike a Bio-CO2 system, the CO2 generator bottle from NatureHolic has a needle valve and a bubble counter and thus allows you a very precise setting of the CO2 amount for your plant aquarium at the pressure reducer with pressure indicator. The CO2 supply with the generator is particularly safe due to the pressure relief valve and the gas filter.

You can even throttle the CO2 supply of your aquarium overnight with a solenoid valve (please order separately). On a Bio-CO2 system no night shutdown would be possible, on the CO2 generator it is no problem thanks to the pressure bottle! Also, the reaction of the CO2 generator starts immediately after you have poured water into the Refill Pack - you don 't have a long waiting time until the yeast of the bio-CO2 system finally starts.

The CO2 generator bottle is pressurized, so you can also work very well with a diffuser when chemically fertilizing your aquarium with CO2. Please always place the CO2 bottle of the NatureHolic CO2 generator vertically! To dose the correct amount of carbon dioxide for your planted aquarium, you should absolutely check the CO2 content of your aquarium water with a CO2 continuous test (please order separately). If the test liquid is green, there is enough CO2 in the water. If it is yellow, there is too much, if it remains blue, there is too little carbon dioxide.

When the pressure in the pressure bottle of your CO2 generator has dropped to zero and the liquid in the duration test remains blue, it is time to pour away the used bottle contents and restart the bottle with our refill packs . Once the reaction is complete, the contents of the bottle are completely non-toxic and can be disposed of normally with wastewater.
