Air-driven foam filters
The air-driven internal filters follow the principle of the mammoth pump or air lifter. By means of an air pump, air is fed into the riser tube via a hose. The air pulls aquarium water in it upwards, water flows through the fine sponge with ideal surface and thus cleans the aquarium water mechanically. Inside the optimized sponges, nitrifying bacteria, which are important for the decomposition of pollutants, settle. These filters are ideal for breeding larvae and fry that would otherwise disappear in normal filters due to their small size and swimming behavior.
