Thanks to the included air pump and air hose, you can connect the filter directly and put it into operation. We recommend for safe use to insert a check valve in the hose between the pump and the filter. To do this, simply cut the hose with scissors and insert the check valve. This will prevent water ingress and a defect in the pump in the event of a power failure, for example.

The air-driven sponge filters not only clean the aquarium water, they also enrich it with vital oxygen . Every now and then, you should squeeze the sponge filters under running tap water and clean them. Use a bacteria preparation afterwards, as important bacteria in the aquarium are lost during cleaning. For this purpose, for example, our Bacter Liquid is suitable, which we carry in the store.
