This beautiful gravel is made primarily of breathable pumice and contains carbon powder as well as natural soil bacteria that prevent stagnant water from tilting at the bottom of the paludarium and plant roots from beginning to rot. The bacteria find plenty of room to settle inthe highly porous pumice.
Optimal is the DOOA Jungle Base in combination with the DOOA Jungle Soil as a substructure under the plant substrate. But it can also be used alone as a"gap filler" for example between planted Wabi Kusa balls. In addition to the practical water-clearing function, the DOOA Jungle Base also simplylooks good.
