African shrimp tree - various sizes

The finely branched African Shrimp Tree is a natural small tree or bush for the aquarium or terrarium, which can be planted with mosses or - especially beautiful and realistic - with small-leaved perennials such as Mini Bucephalandra or Anubias nana or Anubias "Pangolino". For this purpose, the plants are either tied on, simply inserted into the forks of the branches or glued on with plant glue or cyanoacrylate-based super glue.

The light beige, natural color provides a beautiful, light atmosphere in the aquarium and especially in the aquascape. Perfect is the African Shrimp Tree in combination with stone superstructures or as a group.

Real wood in the aquarium is not only a perfect eye-catcher in aquascaping, but it also has a favorable effect on the climate and water quality in the aqu arium: Because real wood contains a small amount of tannins, it makes for softer, biotope-appropriate water with an attractive natural hue that plays slightly into amber.

Also in a paludarium, planted terrarium or aquaterrarium, the African Shrimp Tree can be a really nice accent in the layout. Small shrimps such as Geosesarma will find a perfect playground and great, diverse hiding places.

Shrimp and aquarium snails like to stay on real wood in the aquarium, where they graze the biofilms that prefer to form here. Catfish and crayfish are very grateful for a natural source of fiber in the aquarium. The wood provides them with the much needed fiber for good digestion.
