Shrimpstar - hiding place for shrimp and crayfish in the aquarium

Not only during the moulting season, but especially for stress relief, dwarf shrimp and dwarf crayfish need retreats in the aquarium where they feel safe so that they do not get sick. With our great Shrimpstar a perfect cave can be offered to the shrimps, which also has many entrances and exits, so that no one is pushed into the corner. Our Shrimpstar was lovingly handcrafted from high-quality special clay and fired several times. This makes it absolutely water neutral and waterproof.

The very rough surface allows especially useful cleaning bacteria to settle quickly and multiply well. Invertebrates in particular love to munch on this biofilm. But the Shrimpstar can do even more! It can also be planted with mosses or perching plants and can be perfectly integrated into the existing aquarium planting. Especially young shrimps in growth like to retreat into this meadow.

All edges of the Shrimpstar are rounded, unlike other artificial decorations, so the animals can not hurt themselves. The calming and very natural color fits perfectly into the existing layout.

Tip: Every now and then you should lift the Shrimpstar and suck off the mulm that has formed underneath with a mulmglocke. It should also be cleaned from the inside, make sure that there are no animals inside.
