With our green and coarse filter wadding, the aquarium can be kept in great shape, because with it you filter coarse dirt particles easily and effectively out of the water. Thus, the water quality remains constantly high, from which your animals and plants benefit. The filter wadding also increases the surface area on which useful purification bacteria settle and effectively contribute to the breakdown of pollutants through their activity. The pollutant-free and water-neutral synthetic wadding can be used without hesitation in freshwater and marine aquariums.

In order not to obstruct the water flow in the filter, you should place the filter wadding as one of the last filter media, so that it is not directly clogged by coarser particles. It is recommended to place the appropriate media according to their porosity from large to small. This will effectively remove turbidity and suspended solids from the water, making it crystal clear and healthy again.

As soon as the water flow noticeably decreases, you should replace the green filter wadding. Be sure to use new material, as the wadding will become compacted as it washes out, impairing the filter's function. Replace each filter media in turn and never all at the same time. You can replace the bacteria lost through replacement in no time with our Crusta Bacter Liquid or another bacteria product.

Tip: The green and coarse filter wadding is also super suitable for removing algae deposits on the aquarium glass or for carefully rubbing the plant leaves!
