Matrix is a porous inorganic solid with a diameter of approx. 10 mm. At the same time, one liter of Matrix already provides a surface area (> about 700 m2) as large as 170 liters of other plastic media. In addition, Matrix supports the settlement of nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria both internally and externally. It is therefore ideal for the removal of ammonia and nitrite alike.
Application: Use 250 ml of Matrix per 200 liters of water. Since the filter medium is so large, it can be conveniently used in filter baskets. Alternatively, fill the material into coarse filter media bags, which we also carry in our store.
