A widespread stem plant in the Asian region. In the emersed stage it is small-growing with densely leafy shoots. In the aquarium, the leaflets are much more pronounced and the color is now light green. To the more light-requiring Cabomba plant, Limnophila sessiliflora is a good alternative.
