Spotted Cory "albino" - Corydoras paleatus "DNZ
The beautiful albino form of the marble armored catfish is just as easy to keep and also to breed as the cute wild form, the popular Corydoras paleatus. The golden color makes it an absolute eye-catcher that not only leaves plants alone, but can also do really well with shrimp and snails. - Garnelio

Description

The Spotted Corydoras "albino" Corydoras paleatus "albino" is a corydoras that - kept in a group - is also diurnal. As a variant of the mamor cat fish they can be kept together with a whole range of peaceful living species. Besides Corydoras aeneus, Corydoras paleatus is the most commonly offered armored catfish species. This has also good reasons, these two species make easy demands on food or keeping conditions.

Aquariums, in which Corydoras paleatus Albino are maintained, should not be illuminated too brightly. If this should be the case for optical reasons or because of the aquarium plants, a good structuring with plants and roots contributes very much to the well-being of the Corydoras. Here the catfish find retreat possibilities, and the structures serve as resting places. An edge length from 60 cm is sufficient for these catfish.

For breeding of the Mamor Corydoras a low temperature is more advantageous, the fertilization rate at higher temperatures decreases strongly. Up to 250 eggs can give Corydoras paleatus albino female. The larvae hatch after 4 days, another 2 days the first feeding starts. Artemia nauplii are well accepted as first food. The young animals look very similar to their parents very early

Corydoras paleatus do well in medium soft to hard water, a water temperature of about 18-25 °C is ideal, a heater is usually not necessary.

Since Corydoras are very peaceful fish, they can besocialized very well . Shrimps, snails, smaller tetras and also other catfish complement each other very well with these great ornamental fish. The dwarf catfish, which are relatively defensible thanks to their claws, live in the same aquarium area, so the armored catfish could be injured if they fight with the pinchers over burrows or even food.

Corys are omnivores. Since they live ground-oriented, the food should also be selected so. Besides granulated food, the fish also like to eat live or frozen food. Especially for breeding this is stimulating together with a large water change with rather cool water.

Our food recommendation: The NatureHolic Catfish Feed for all aufwuchs fressende Saugwelse in the aquarium is a balanced tablet food, which does not cloud the water and the fish eat gladly. The catfish tablets also contain NatureHolic active ingredient complexes, which provide the sucking catfish with everything they need for a strong immune system, healthy growth and great, contrasting coloration.

Our plant recommendation: For planting, use NatureHolic InVitros. These are free of snails, planarians and other unwanted co-inhabitants. Also free of algae spores, bacteria and fungi.

Expert Tip: We recommend for fish keeping the NatureHolic 3 Phase Liquid. The care set offers the best all-round protection for your animals. It ensures optimal conditions for successful breeding and keeping.
