Crab bag - hiding place for crabs

The hand-made crab bag made of brown water-neutral ceramic offers crabs a nice place to retreat - very important, for example, when an animal has shed its skin and is then soft and vulnerable. In the hiding place it can harden in peace without conspecifics becoming dangerous to it. Pregnant females are also grateful for some rest and a place of refuge.

The flattened shape at the back allows the crab pocket to be partially hidden under a root, for example, but it also cuts a good figure in the aquarium on its own. Thanks to the embossed surface structure, the bag looks like a piece of nature.

The structured surface also makes the crab pocket a nice base for mosses or perching plants, which can get a good foothold here. In addition, filter bacteria settle here in biofilms, which are responsible for the breakdown of pollutants in the aquarium and ensure good water quality.
