The hemispherical Cheese Igloo has its name not for nothing - it is dotted with regularly arranged round holes. This original hiding place is lovingly made of dark brown ceramic, pleasantly inconspicuous in the aquarium.

With the Cheese Igloo you can offer not only your dwarf crabs or even the shrimps in your aquarium an original aquarium decoration and a great hiding place with multiple possibilities of evasion, also for small crabs like Geosesarma and similar species in the aquaterrarium this small cave is a great hiding place. Crabs and shrimp need caves and hiding places, and shrimp are also quite grateful for a place to retreat.

The many openings ensure that the water cannot stand here and germinate - a disadvantage of closed caves. If a stronger aquarium companion comes to visit, the inhabitant of this hiding place can easily escape.

However, the Cheese Igloo is also perfectly suited for planting and presentation, for example, for collectors of various Bucephalandra species or for ferns or Anubias. The plants are simply inserted into one of the holes and can grow really well here. Mosses can also be ideally tied up and beautifully presented thanks to the many openings of this great aquarium decoration.

The ceramic used here does not negatively affect the water values and does not harden. Thanks to the porous surface, bacteria in biofilms find room to settle here, and here they can ensure healthy water by breaking down pollutants. Biofilms continue to be a great natural food for crayfish and shrimp.
