JBL ProTemp e300 - Outdoor heater

Animals kept in aquariums often come from rather warmer habitats with water temperatures between 22 and 30 °C. Since fish and other aquarium animals cannot regulate their body temperature themselves, they are dependent on an external heating source. If the water temperature is permanently above or below this, however, they can become ill, as a number of their metabolic processes are temperature-dependent.

Control heaters, for example, which constantly monitor the water temperature and increase it if necessary, are suitable for this setting. An alternative to this are external heaters or so-called flow-through heaters, which are integrated in the return hose of the external filter. In this way the water volume is heated more evenly and also distributed in the aquarium and no disturbing technology has to be placed in the aquarium. The JBL ProTemp e300 also has a large LED display that can be easily and reliably read and set from the outside.

The JBL ProTemp e300 is very easy to install in the external hose: simply cut the hose and insert the heater! The e300 allows a measuring accuracy of +/- 0.5 °C and a switching interval of 1.0 °C and is extremely reliable. The hose connections are interchangeable for 12/16, 16/22 and 19/25 mm with hose fuses. The total length is 30.5 cm. A cleaning brush is also included in the delivery.
