For example, protein food, frozen food or a piece of unseasoned raw meat is suitable - raw chicken or raw turkey meat has proven successful.
The openings in the removable lid are arranged so that the flatworms can get into the trap, but not out again. It is best to place the trap in the aquarium overnight - planarians are nocturnal animals.
Especially before using products for planaria control like Panacur, Flubenol or No Planaria we recommend the use of this planaria trap to reduce the number of predatory planaria in the aquarium. The dead worms put a huge strain on the water after control, and the less of the planarians there are, the better it is for the water quality.
This planarian trap, in addition to the many openings, has the significant advantage of a larger water volume - the food does not start to rot as quickly as in other, smaller planarian traps.

Ich habe das erste Mal Probleme mit Planarien. Diese Falle ist mein erster Versuch gewesen, diese einzudämmen. Gefüllt mit ein wenig Frostfutter hatte ich in kürzester Zeit jede Menge Planarien eingefangen. Ich bin überrascht und kann diese Falle nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.
