Especially a properly maintained aquarium filter is essential for a healthy aquarium, because pollutants are broken down and dirt particles are retained and ensure a biological balance. The result is healthy fish and crystal clear water.

The fine filter fleece catches the smallest particles, such as those produced by churning up substrate when working in the aquarium or by fish churning the substrate, and thanks to its increased surface area it provides a perfect place for beneficial microorganisms to settle and multiply. Their activity affects the breakdown of pollutants and thus supports water health.

To ensure that your aquarium remains a place of well-being for your pets, you should regularly check the filter media and replace it if necessary. Especially if the water flow decreases noticeably, a  replacement is advisable. Please note, however, that you should only replace a part of the filter media at a time and never all of them at the same time. Among other things, quite a few of the valuable bacteria are lost, but you can replace them with our Natureholic Bacter Liquid.
