Eucalyptus Shelter - 4 cm

Eucalyptus Shelter is derived from the tree of the same name and is the seed fruit of the tree. In order to reproduce, the eucalyptus forms fruits that are about 3-4 cm in size. As soon as they are ripe, they open and the seed is dispersed. Usually the empty capsules, also called bells, remain on the branches for some time and are shed quite late. They contain humic acids and flavonoids, which have a positive effect on the health of their well-groomed pets.

Before use, Eucalyptus Shelters should be watered so that they do not float. However, if needed, they can simply be decorated and weighted under water until they have soaked up water. Eucalyptus Shelters are not problematic for your water values, as they naturally contain no toxic substances. The essential oils of Eucalyptus are found in the wood and leaves, not in its fruits. On the rough sides, useful microorganisms form over time - especially shrimps like to nibble down this biofilm.

With mosses or other perennials like Anubia or Bucephalandra, which we carry in our store, the Eucalyptus Shelter can be spiced up and greened.

Tip: Every now and then you should lift the Eucalyptus Shelter and vacuum off the mum that has formed underneath so that no gamma spots form.
