Giant Bean - Hiding place for aquarium

Dwarf shrimp shed their skin at regular intervals when their shell has become too tight - because it does not grow with them. During this time, they are particularly vulnerable and attackable and retreat until the new shell has hardened. With the Giant Bean, you offer your pets a great place to retreat and relax. This is 100% natural and has no negative effect on the water values.

The Giant Bean also represents an increased surface in the aquarium, on which after a short time cleaning bacteria cavort and multiply. These make an important contribution to the reduction of pollutants, which thus also has a positive effect on the water values. Shrimps particularly like to nibble down the biofilm that these microorganisms form in the process. In this way they are always supplied with food, even when withdrawn in hiding. The tannins and humins contained in the Giant Bean also have a positive effect on the mucous membranes of the shrimp and reduce pathogens. Especially for breeding aquariums, the Giant Bean is particularly well suited - in addition, it forms an interesting eye-catcher with its unique appearance .

The Giant Bean should be rinsed briefly before first use and ideally pre-watered in a bowl of aquarium water so that it stays down in the aquarium. Alternatively, it can be weighted down until it has soaked itself full of water. It may be that the Giant Bean will straighten out after a while. As with other decorative elements in the aquarium, you should lift the Giant Bean every now and then and remove the mulm that has formed underneath so that no muddy spots form.

Tip: The Giant Bean is also suitable for wood-eating fish such as wood-rattling catfish.
