Large Amazon plant sword plant Echinodorus grisebachii Bleherae

The large Amazon sword plant is perhaps the most popular plant in aquaristics. Its leaves are 3-6 cm wider than 'amazonicus' and the growth height up to 60 cm makes this species appear even more dominant. Older bushes with partly more than 50 leaves are an imposing eye-catcher. However, the substrate must be at least 10 cm high, so that the root system can develop accordingly. In combination with Helanthium species (dwarf Chinodorus) succeed beautiful South America underwater landscapes.
