The moss stone with pond liverwort is particularly suitable for the design of the middle and front area in the aquarium. Riccia fluitans was tied here on a lava stone.
Pond liverwort offers young shrimp protection from predators, the moss stone is therefore also super suitable for rearing tanks and aquariums in which shrimp are bred.
Actually, pond liverwort is a floating plant, it does not form adhesive roots. The moss on the stone should be trimmed and re-bound from time to time. The excess shoots can easily be tied up on other surfaces.
Pond liverwort can also be used freely on the water surface as a floating plant if required. Riccia is especially liked by gourami and fighting fish to build their foam nests.
