Greenscaping Better Ground is a special high-performance nutrient soil developed for aquascapes and planted aquariums, especially those with particularly demanding plants. The plant food for planted aquariums has a particularly high nutrient content. For environmental reasons, Greenscaping Better Ground contains no components of peat or quartz sand components as cheap fillers. Instead, the nutrient soil for planted aquariums consists of especially high-quality clay minerals, rock meals and volcanic earths.
Thanks to the porous structure of the sintered glass Biohomes, the pollutant-degrading bacteria find active biozones in the bottom substrate where they can settle. In this way, you prevent soil rot and can ensure improved nutrient mineralization. This enables the aquarium plants to better absorb and metabolize the important nutrients.
The special structural properties of this growing medium for plant aquariums, the biohomes and the relatively low content of organic substances allow the combination of Better Ground even with extremely fine sand as substrate in the aquarium.
Recommendation: For an even stronger increase in growth of your aquarium plants in the aquascape or planted aquarium, we recommend combining this nutrient medium with the Greenscaping Super Red fertilizer tablets, which you can place very specifically in the root area of strong growers.
Professional tip: Pour the nutrient medium into the aquarium in such a way that the front and sides of the panes remain free. This prevents a two-tone edge.
