from over 3,000 reviews "Christmas moss lives up to its name because of the roughly triangular fronds it forms. Scientifically it is called Vesicularia dubyana and originates from Southeast Asia. Its robustness and uncomplicated care make it a popular greenery in the aquarium.
Christmas moss can be easily glued or tied to stones, rocks or roots and grows there with rhizomes. From time to time shoots can be plucked or cut off and tied on again, this way it can be propagated easily. It does not need extra nutrients and grows well even in partial shade without CO2 fertilization. Especially shrimps like to hide between the dense shoots during the moulting phase, they also find many microorganisms to feed on the moss shoots.
As an in vitro grown aquatic plant, Christmas Moss is free from surprises such as planaria, algae, snails or other unwelcome guests. Thanks to cultivation in a plant laboratory, Christmasmoss does not require any further treatment with pesticides and is guaranteed pesticide-free. Therefore, it can be immediately planted in a shrimp aquarium. Before insertion, the culture medium is removed beforehand under running water.
Our recommendation: For a splendid plant growth we recommend the use of the NatureHolic fertilizer series and for new plants the Premium Nutrient Substrate NatureHolic GroundBooster.
Expert Tip: With the NatureHolic plant glue glue this plant gently and easily on stones, roots and decoration . Made in Germany, the adhesive does not pollute the water and has no negative impact on the stock.
