JBL FilterStart can be used to treat new filter media quickly and easily, but also after filter cleaning and even more so after a course of medication, the bacteria preparation supports the maintenance of clean water and enables the rapid breakdown of ammonium/ammonia and nitrite, which is toxic to fish. After water changes, new installations and fish diseases the Filterstart provides a biological highly efficient filter effect. The beneficial bacteria are highly active and break down toxins quickly and reliably. Fish excretions and other metabolic wastes are also converted in the process.
