Cuba Dwarf Pearlwort or simply Dwarf Pearlwort is a very popular ground cover for aquascaping aquariums and planted tanks. The plant is originally from Central America. Hemianthus callitrichoides is one of the smallest known stem plants in the world.
In the foreground of an aquarium, its fresh green fine leaves make a pretty contrast to grassy ground covers. If Hemianthus callitrichoides is to be used in soils, we recommend adding a layer of finer soils (Powder Type) over the top of the soils because of the short roots, the plants will hold better and take root faster. If you have digging snails in the aquarium, you can also tie the dwarf pearlwort on small stones until it is well rooted.
Regular trimming will keep the plants nice and short and make them very bushy. Cut off parts can be stuck into the aquarium bottom, they will sprout roots. For propagation, you can also divide the group of plants and plant the parts separately.
With us you will receive vigorous plants grown in nurseries, not wild harvests.
Our recommendation: For a splendid plant growth we recommend the use of the NatureHolic fertilizer series and for new plants the Premium Nutrient Substrate NatureHolic GroundBooster.
Expert Tip: With the NatureHolic Plant Glue you stick this plant gently and uncomplicated on stones, roots and decoration . Made in Germany, the adhesive does not pollute the water and has no negative impact on the stock.
